Underwent training in various surgical units in the Dept Of General Surgery with posting in 700 bedded Govt Wenlock District Hospital Mangalore and 650 bedded Manipal Hospital Attavar. Training involved taking part in day to day activities of the dept, working up of patients for surgery, OT training, assisting and performing surgical procedures, casualty management, trauma management, surgical ICU and critical care. Training also involved in working in superspeciality disciplines like urology, neurosurgery, vascular and thoracic surgery, plastic and paediatric surgery. Underwent Basic Laparoscopy training in the Dept and also from Covidien centre for Innovation, Mumbai and cleared the Certificate course.

    • Training in diagnosing and managing acute medical and surgical emergencies, conducting normal delivery and child birth, managing polytrauma patients, managing critically ill in the ICU and providing life support. Working as a part of the team and alone. This is 750 bedded super specialty hospital with six admitting units in each department with a 24hr casualty and 30 bedded surgical and medical ICU.

Teaching Experience

  • May 2013 – July 2019: As a Junior Resident for three years and as Senior Resident for 1 year 3 months and as Assistant Professor for 1 year 10 months has been involved in the education and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the discipline of general surgery. Teaching activities include theory and teaching sessions, workshops, clinical case discussions and skills lab demonstrations.
